Danceofalifetime
Danceofalifetime was purchased on April 21, 1999 by trainer Sam David on behalf of Virtual Owners Partnership at the OBS Two-Year-Olds in Training Sale. A '97 daughter of Robyn Dancer, out of Anotherlifetime by Fortunate Prospect, Danceofalifetime was bred in Florida. She was unraced and unnamed at the time of her purchase.

1st VOP Race - 09/22/99
Haw 5th, MdnClm25000, 6 furlongs,
track fast. Purse $14300. Sebastian Madrid up.
Danceofalifetime stood very professionally
in the gate for her debut. She broke alertly, lugging in and brushing
the #8 horse slightly. Danceofalifetime showed good speed, racing
just off the speedy pace for the first three furlongs. Entering
the far turn, she made a move for the lead, falling just a half-length
short of that goal before tiring with 3/16ths to go. She finished
up well, but was obviously a very tired horse by the time she
reached the wire. Sebastian was very kind to her down the stretch,
keeping her to the task while saving her for another day.
Danceofalifetime's running line: 9-1-4-2-4-6, fractional times:
22.58, 46.64, 59.67, 1:13.20
2nd VOP Race - 10/15/99
Haw 5th, MdnClm15000, 6 furlongs,
track fast. Purse $12,100. Donnie Meche up.
Donning blinkers for the first time,
Danceofalifetime broke cleanly and rated well just 3 to 4 lengths
off of the pace. Approaching the quarter pole, she passed the
tiring third place horse, and made a move for the lead down the
stretch. She put away the second place horse as they passed the
eighth pole, but had no chance to catch the leader. Danceofalifetime
was clearly second best, finishing four lengths behind while heading
the show horse by nearly two lengths. An impressive and professional
effort for this improving filly.
Danceofalifetime's running line: 9-4-3-3-2-2, fractional times:
22.37, 46.54, 59.55, 1:13.49
3rd VOP Race - 10/28/99
Haw 3rd, MdnClm15000, 6 furlongs,
track fast. Purse $12,100. Sebastian Madrid up.
Danceofalifetime broke well, ducked
out slightly, than was outsprinted for the lead by the #5 horse.
She raced up the backstretch in second place, stalking the leader
one length back. Approaching the quarter pole, she made a move
for the lead, then began a steady fade while passing the 3/16ths.
Danceofalifetime, now a very tired filly, was passed by three
more horses before hitting the wire, nearly six lengths behind
the winner.
Danceofalifetime's running line: 1-2-2-2-3-5, fractional times:
22.47, 46.85, 59.92, 1:13.36
