Lady Lomond's 1997 Campaign

  • 1st VOP Race - 02/26/97
  • 2nd VOP Race - 03/09/97
  • Spt 2nd, IL mdn7500, 6f, track sloppy. Purse $8,000. Shane Laviolette up.
This race was pretty much a carbon copy of the first. Lady L. laid back just off the pace and made a big move at the top of the stretch, but came up just a little short to get nipped by a nose at the wire. She looked like she was goofing around after she caught the lead horse.
    Lady L's running line: 6-5-4-3-2, times 22.3, 46.4, 59.4, 1:13.4

  • 3nd VOP Race - 03/29/97
  • 4th VOP Race - 04/11/97
  • Spt 3rd, clm5000n2l, 6f, track wet fast. Purse $7,000. Shane Laviolette up.
Against winners Lady L. had just a little more trouble, and ran out of gas in the stretch, to get nipped out of the show money in a photo.
