Trailed pack running 7th in stretch jock eased in stretch though he heard breathing problems, nothing was found and scoped clean.

FIJI sprinted clear soon after the start, set the pace for just over a half then gave way when displaced by the runner up entering the stretch. Much improved over previous races.
