1 MILE (Turf). CLAIMING. Purse $23,000 (plus $8,280 IOA - IL Registered Own Award) For Fillies, Three Years Old. Weight 121 lbs. Non-winners of two races at one mile or over since September 16 allowed, 2 lbs. One such race since then, 4 lbs. Claiming price $25,000, for each $2,500 to $20,000 1 lb. (Claiming races for $18,000 or less not considered). (Preference to horses that have not started for less than $16,000 in their last two starts.).
Bridget looked calm and ready on the track and we just chilled in the paddock. The race started and Bridget dropped into a perfect position for the first half of the race. Getting on to the half mile pole, Justin let Bridget ease towards the front and she collared the leader with ease. Once we were clear in the stretch, it was nothing but high fives in the paddock. Bridget opened up a big ol' can of whupass and started spreading it around.

Soft yielding turf and three wide trip spells no check. Raced close up off the rail and weakened.

Bridget came up from the rear on the rail and ran mid-pack running 3rd most of the way, lost 3rd by a nose placing 4th by a photo.

Non-winners of two races at one mile or over since April 11 allowed, 2 lbs. One such race since then, 4 lbs. Claiming price $18,000, if for $16,000, allowed 1 lb. (Claiming races for $14,000 or less not considered).
After a layoff comes back and
wins big by 8 lengths and was the 7-5 favorite.
The race was a carbon copy of last year's win. Chris & Bridget broke
alertly and dropped in behind the speed on the rail. They chilled for a
half mile and then Chris moved Bridget outside on the turn to pull even with the
leaders. Coming into the stretch, Bridget changed leads
but hung with the top pair. After a 16th of holding even, Chris broke out
the wake-em-up stick then Bridget opened up a big ol' can of whupass and spread
it all over the field.
Official track comments were - BRIDGET SAYS saved ground near the middle of the field, came three wide into the stretch, rallied to the front and drew off under urging driving.
